This product was in development for well over a year with previous design iterations not quite to the MadDad(TM) standard. But now with the details and testing complete MadDad(TM) is proud to offer a quality Equal Length header that promises simple bolt-on performance you can feel with no tuning at all. Furthermore, the power gain is literally everywhere no matter what rpm range you are in. With a +23hp / +20lbs peak gains untuned this is truly plug and play power(larger gains found in some areas of the rev range).
In typical MadDad style our header features a MadDad specific uppipe. The inlet is matched to the oversized collector allow much better flow than other EL headers that either restrict the flow with a smaller collector or use a standard uppipe with a smaller inlet than the collector. To maintain the low end torque and turbo spool the oversized uppipe uses a MadDad specific 45mm velocity stack. The chart doesn't lie and the MadDad EL Header produces honest plug and play results. We also include a 1/8" NPT EGT bung in the manifold specific for installing an EGT probe for your EGT gauge(easily plugged with a 1/8" NPT male plug if not used...note plug is not included)
A complete 5-layer metal gasket set is included. You'd pay $60 for a gaskets set like this at the dealer, and it is included at no charge.
NOTE: If you are having your header ceramic coated by a 3rd party we DO NOT recommend they separate the header at the slip joint. Breaking the seal of the slip joints can cause undue header leaks under moderate engine load. If you are coating your header be sure to notify your coating vendor not to separate the halves. |
