The new MadDad(TM) Velocity V2 header benefits from their origonal JDM market design and MadDad(TM) refinements. Don't be fooled by brands that look the same or auction site look-a-likes. The MadDad(TM) Velocity V2 is easily identified as the only Header/Uppipe kit of it's type that comes with a 45mm velocity stack uppipe to increase low-end torque and allow quicker turbo spool. Look a like products use a 48mm velocity stack but you wouldn't know this by looking at their specs. Don't be fooled by other brands that mention 45mm as that is the size of the main 4 runners, not the velocity stack. MadDad is the only brand that has a 45mm velocity stack for better/faster turbo spool. Also unique to the MadDad(TM) Velocity V2 Header/Uppipe is the prefitted EGT bung on the manifold designed to ensure the most accurate readings from the installation of an EGT gauge. This is another sign your getting an origonal MadDad(TM) product and don't confuse this with the EGT bung in the uppipe. This EGT we refer to here is fitted to the manifold itself and is 1/8" NPT designed for aftermarket EGT gauges. Fitted close to exhaust port #4 it will ensure accurate results and make the installation of your EGT gauge as simple as a boost gauge while avoiding the extra cost and hastle of getting your manifold tapped with an EGT bung. Having the EGT bung incorporated into our manifold is a cleaner more reliable solution. Just another thoughtful addition from minds at MadDad(TM).
NOTE: If you are having your header ceramic coated by a 3rd party we DO NOT recommend they separate the header at the slip joint. Breaking the seal of the slip joints can cause undue header leaks under moderate engine load. If you are coating your header be sure to notify your coating vendor not to separate the halves
